Description

This summer sees a major consultation in environmental Noise Action Plans, as required under the Environmental Noise Directive 2002-49. The plans are in relation to a) Agglomerations, Major Roads and Major Railways and b) Major Airports.

This meeting provides an opportunity for a discussion around the consultation with a view to preparing the Central Branch’s local response which can then be fed into the IOA’s overall response.

The consultation documents may be found at the Defra website www.defra.gov.uk/environment/noise/mapping/action-plans.htm and at the websites for the individual major airports (Luton and perhaps Stansted being of relevance to the Central Branch area).

Those attending are cordially invited for a meal at the Jaipur Indian Restaurant in Central Milton Keynes after the meeting for further discussion.
