Professor Harvey Dillon is an expert in the field of hearing loss, auditory processing and hearing aids.  He will provide an overview of his work, answering questions including: why hearing loss interferes with speech understanding; how hearing aids are prescribed; what do hearing aids do other than amplify; who is a candidate for hearing aids, and how can people with “normal hearing” have a hearing problem?

Dr Michael Stone will give some specific insight in to his work on sound processing and auditory perception, including why improved signal-to-noise ratio may not improve intelligibility.

This talk will provide a rare opportunity to gain insight into their research, experiences and the potential future direction of research and technology.

The room capacity is limited to 50.  Please register for the talk on Eventbrite.  CPD certificates provided upon request. If you have any queries please contact david.terry@aecltd.co.uk

We will go to the Outpost (Brewdog) after the event for a festive end of year drink - anyone is welcome to join.  (144 Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9GP
