This year’s Christmas social is – of course – going to happen in Virtual Space. The course of this evening will allow you to get together with friends and colleagues from 6pm to chat in breakout rooms for a short time (these allow for much better conversations than large meetings), before moving onto the main event of the quiz around 6:30. Please bring your own mince pies and mulled wine! Families and friends are welcome to join us.
The quiz will use an online quiz system – so in addition to a device for Zoom, please also bring a phone, tablet or other connected device (you can use another browser window on your computer). As points can be awarded for speed of answer as well as for the correct answer, touch screen devices are best. Questions will cover both trivia and problem solving on all sorts of topics (with the possible exception of acoustics…let’s keep work out of this!).
Winners get gloating rights and also an Amazon gift card for those last-minute Christmas present you know you will forget.
