Local Authority’s Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) often encounter poor noise reports, usually in support of planning applications. Noise consultants often express frustration that EHOs do not fully understand the reports submitted.
This joint initiative by the IOA and CIEH seeks to address the concerns of both groups by agreeing on the elements which are important for the report writers to include and the report readers to check.
The working party has reconvened following the pilot of the draft online framework and devised a new simplified concise set of guidance notes for practitioners
Members of the working group will present the idea and invite interaction with attendees to address any comments prior to its formal launch. This is your chance to have your say on this important local initiative. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A which will often continue afterwards at a local pub and curry house.
