Planning Appeals – Theory & Practice

A meeting aimed at but not limited to young members of the IOA. The meeting is to provide useful advice on some of the more fundamental aspects of presenting and discussing acoustic evidence in planning appeals.

The meeting will be split into two sections. The first will provide an introduction into the procedures of planning appeals. This will be followed by an examination of a case study of a residential development adjacent to an industrial unit which has been refused planning consent.

A mock public inquiry on this case study will be held in the second section. This will include witnesses for the developer and local authority being examined and cross examined. A discussion session will follow.
