Whether indoors or outdoors, sound propagation is affected by the same phenomena, mainly reflection, diffraction, refraction and transmission. We present the approach of integrated acoustics, which irrespective where sound propagation takes place, and with the use of surface impedance, image source method and sound pressure summation, these phenomena can be taken into account to calculate room modes, the seat dip effect, atmospheric refraction and sound scattering, to mention a few. This talk will present cases where the integrated approach in acoustics is a prerequisite in order to calculate real life scenarios using Olive Tree Lab Suite.
PEMARD was set up in 2009, by the Founder of Panacoustics Ltd, Panos Economou, a member of the IOA soon after his graduation from Chelsea College under the supervision of Geoff Leventhall and Edgar Brown. Panacoustics has been consulting for 35 years, and set up PEMARD to implement the years of research in acoustics with one goal in mind, an integrated platform for scientists and practioners in acoustics.
The closest underground stations are Chancery Lane (Central line) and Holborn (Central & Piccadilly line).
