A Presentation and Workshop organised by the IOA South West Branch and Young Member’s Group. Including expert assistance and guidance from Richard Perkins, Gavin Irvine, and Adam Lawrence.

 

A meeting aimed at but not limited to young members of the IOA. The meeting is to provide useful advice on some of the more fundamental aspects of presenting and discussing acoustic evidence in planning appeals.

The meeting will be split into two sections. The first will provide an introduction into the procedures of planning appeals.

A mock public inquiry will be held in the second section to examine a case study of a residential development adjacent to transportation and industrial noise sources which has been refused planning consent. This will include witnesses for the developer and Local Authority being examined and cross examined. A discussion session will follow.
