The Scottish Branch and the Institute’s working group on wind farm noise are organising a one-day meeting in Glasgow to discuss wind turbine noise. The meeting will specifically address the following topics: amplitude modulation (AM) research and applications; updates re current research studies; an IOA working group update; planning conditions and compliance testing; practical issues re the application of guidance and standards; the review of noise reports; regional variations in standards/criteria.

The Scottish Branch AGM is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on 15th May 2014 at 4.15pm, immediately following the close of the seminar on wind turbine noise.
A number of Scottish Branch Committee members are due to stand down from serving on Committee and nominations are sought for new members who are interested in providing an active role on Committee.
Nominations should be submitted in writing to Lilianne Lauder (lilianne.lauder@midlothian.gov.uk), Scottish Branch Secretary by 7 May 2014. All nominees and proposers are required to be IOA Scottish Branch members.
