Covid-19 has caused the world to come to a halt. From the positives of reducing air and noise pollution to the uncertainty and anxiety of not knowing what tomorrow is going to bring, it has affected everyone in many different ways.During economic downturns it is often young people and those just starting their careers that are significantly affected. The Early Careers Group has recently published a survey to understand how its members have been affected by Covid-19 to which we have received over 100 responses.
At this event, we would like to share the results of the survey, present our ideas and hear your thoughts on future activities.
We are also working closely with the IOA Executive committee to find ways of better supporting Early Career Professionals during these challenging times. We will be joined by the IOA President – Stephen Turner, Chief Executive - Allan Chesney and President-elect, Alistair Sommerville who will share their thoughts on the challenges ahead.
Although this session is aimed particularly at the survey participants and Early Career Group members, such complex issue is always best considered from several points of view. Therefore ECG would like to extend the invitation to all members to join this initial session and discussions.
We are looking forward to see you.
