Arup has worked on the development of numerical models to predict the insertion loss of environmental noise barriers. These models account for non-standard design parameters such as complex geometry of the barrier, implementation of absorption, energy build up between source and receiver, and others. Join us for a conversation about how this innovative method can help us find accurate answers during detailed design, and how numerical modelling is applicable in the acoustics industry.
César is an acoustics consultant in Arup based in Glasgow. His work is mainly focused on the field of environmental acoustics for large infrastructure projects, with a particular interest in the development of numerical modelling for detailed design.
Presentation followed by an opportunity for Q&A and informal chat
