THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL
One of two workshops aimed at acoustic consultants, environmental health practitioners and other users of BS 4142. The objective of these workshops will be to explore how the concept of 'Context' has been used/abused since the last revision of BS 4142. These meetings will feed directly into the BSI Committee EH/1/3 responsible for BS 4142 and will directly influence a future revision. Each meeting will be chaired by Phil Dunbavin as Chairman of both the EH/1/3 committee and its oversight committee EH/1. The workshop will include presentations from Stephen Turner (acoustic consultant formerly of DEFRA) and Jon Tofts (Environment Agency). There will be the opportunity to explore the reasoning behind this concept and to guide and influence its direction in the future. This will be attendees’ opportunity to influence the current thinking with respect to BS 4142.
13.30 Workshop and discussion
The workshops are an opportunity for you to bring both good and bad examples of the use of 'context' to the other delegates and more importantly directly to EH/1/3 the BSI Committee that is responsible for BS 4142. The delegates will be split into discussion groups with different subjects per group. Each group will have a facilitator to report your considerations at the end of the discussion session. These will be fed directly into the EH/1/3 committee and will have a major influence on the next revision of the standard.
