The 37th Reproduced Sound Conference will focus on all aspects of electroacoustics, and will bring together practitioners, educators and students in an atmosphere with a friendly and enthusiastic 'buzz', which is a hallmark of past RS conferences. The conference will be held in-person, in Bristol, or you can join by Zoom.

The importance of audio to our lives has been highlighted by the global pandemic. What will our audio future look like?

COVID-19

In order to gain access to RS 2021, delegates will need to demonstrate their COVID-19 Status by providing proof of a negative NHS Lateral Flow test taken within 24 hours prior to arrival at the event.

NHS Rapid Lateral Flow tests are free. You can order NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Tests here or pick them up from any pharmacy or test site.

Face Masks
Face masks are not mandatory, but we advise delegates to wear one whilst moving around in public areas and whilst in close proximity to others

Stand + Stare is a Bristol based interactive design studio whose work spans commissions within the heritage and museum sector, one-of-a-kind experiences for commercial clients, dynamic academic collaborations and direct engagement with local communities. In this talk, they will chart their developing relationship with all manner of technology to tell stories that connect people and enhance the human experience.

The Conference Dinner willbe held at The Bristol Hotel. The Conference Dinner is included in the 2 day conference rate. Day delegates and guests can purchase a ticket at £40.00.

ACCOMMODATION

The Bristol Hotel - A limited number of rooms have been held on allocation at the Bristol Hotel @ £135.00 B&B per room per night. The rooms will be released on 4th October 2021. Delegates will need to call the hotel to book +44 0117 923 0333

PARKING
Parking is available on a first come basis at £7.00 per car for all delegates for the duration of the event at the on-site car park, Prince Street NCP, please take your ticket to reception on departure to have it validated to the value of £7.00. This rate only applies if you leave your car in the car park for the duration of the conference.

Trains

Bristol is one of the most easily accessible cities in the UK. Bristol Temple Meads is our main railway station, situated in the heart of the Bristol's business area and close to many of the city's conference venues. It is just 10 minutes walk from the central shopping quarter, or 10 minutes to the bustling harbourside area.

AIRPORT

If delegates are flying into Bristol International Airport, there is an Airport Flyer Bus service which runs 24hrs a day – ranging from running every 10 minutes during the day to an hourly service during the night.

The Airport also has a dedicated onsite taxi & minibus service with Arrow Cars. They offer a high quality, modern fleet of vehicles at competitive prices.

The Institute of Acoustics aims to make its meetings accessible to its members, whilst maintaining their financial viability.
