Abstract

The talk looks at what is padel in the simplest terms, compares the source spectrum and levels to tennis and provides a review of existing assessment methodologies, typical environmental health responses and provides a comparison of how using different standards produces significantly different results.

Bio

Adam Walker is a Principal consultant at Peninsular Acoustics. Having worked initially as an international audio engineer, Adam made the switch from stadiums to the office working on all manner of projects ranging from HS2 PA/VA design, Norton Motorcyles HQ internal works, the proposed BOXPARK Birmingham project and now focusing on a significant number of padel noise projects around the UK, including pioneering a number of courts in challenging environments. Adam’s focus is now on developing an appropriate assessment methodology for padel noise and the talk is aimed at providing a more detailed overview of the constraints, now that there are a number of operational courts in the UK.
