LOW NOISE DESIGN
WEDNESDAY 18 SEPTEMBER 2019
THE ROYAL SOCIETY, 6-9 CARLTON HOUSE TERRACE, LONDON SW1Y 5AG
Awareness of the need to protect workers from damaging noise levels has never been higher, and buyers and users of machinery and tools now expect suppliers to refine their products for reduced noise, achieving better than minimum legislation. Best practice in noise control has also developed significantly in recent decades, and new methods and technologies abound. The aim of this meeting is to share knowledge and experience on recent developments in "quiet by design" for workplace machinery. This event supports the HSE’s ongoing initiatives for noise control by promoting the development, supply and purchase of low noise equipment.
Machinery designers and manufacturers seeking knowledge of quiet-by-design and legislative requirements, machinery purchasers/users seeking knowledge to understand/challenge machinery suppliers’ claims, acoustics professionals advising both purchasers and manufacturers, anyone with an interest in low-noise design
