* Fee for existing members who have been 5 years or more in the grade of AMIOA is the same as for MIOA (£184.00).
Membership fees cover the period January to December. New applicants are invoiced on a pro rata basis, once their application has been approved.

Membership Committee Dates 2025
The Membership Committee meet 4 times a year at the IOA Office, these dates are
28 January 2025 (Closing date for applications is 14 January)
10 April 2025 (Closing date for applications is 27 March)
15 July 2025 (Closing date for applications is 1 July)
23 October 2025 (Closing date for applications is 9 October)
All applications must reach the office, 14 days before the Membership Committee meets. Any received after will be reviewed in the next meeting.
Corporate applications (FIOA, MIOA) are only considered at Membership Committee meetings.
Non-Corporate applications (AMIOA, Research Member, TechIOA, Affiliate, Sponsor) can be considered through Fast-Tracking through out the year (excluding December & January) if Committee is available and enough applications received.
Membership Upgrade Applications
Members wishing to transfer to a higher grade are asked for a fixed transfer fee of £25.00 once the application has been approved.
Please ensure account is up to date with all payments.
Retired Members
If you have retired from all paid employment, you may be eligible for a 50% discount on your membership fee (from renewals).
Please contact membership office with the date of retirement.
Membership Re-instating
All membership's expire 31st December. If you choose not to re-new the following year please let the membership officer know as soon as possible. If you wish to re-instate your membership, you have 13 months from the expired date to contact the membership Officer to re-instate without having to re-apply. After the 13 month period you will need to re-apply with an up to date CPD (for all grades).
