Read More ProPG: Planning & Noise – New Residential Development The ProPG has been produced to provide practitioners with guidance on a recommended approach to the management of noise within the planning system in England. The IOA, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Association of Noise Consultants have worked together to produce the guidance which encourages better acoustic design for new residential development and aims to protect people from the harmful effects of noise. Read More Acoustics of Schools: a design guide The Institute of Acoustics and the Association of Noise Consultants have jointly published a new design guide for the acoustics of schools. The 110-page document is designed to accompany the revised performance standards for the acoustic design of schools published by the Department for Education in December 2014, and is a revision of the guidance previously published in 2003 as Sections 2 to 7 of Building Bulletin 93: Acoustic Design of Schools.
