Blurb: Whether the problem is a heat pump, a recording studio, an MRI machine, or a new tower near a railway line, controlling the transmission of vibration often relies on the same underlying theory. A good result is reliant on managing inherent assumptions during the design process and on the construction site.

This talk reviews the theory, assumptions made, and how to minimise the risk of problems which can be expensive or very difficult to rectify. Practical examples are given, along with descriptions on how to manage similar projects. This talk is suitable for all practitioners who inform clients on managing vibration and who wish to learn more about the practical application on site.
