Practical use of soundscaping in office design

Much has been written and talked about in relation to soundscaping, a lot of which is very subjective and theoretical. Cundall have been using soundscaping in office design for a number of years and the purpose of this session is to discuss our experiences, the benefits, the practicalities and pit-falls.

Andrew Parkin is a Partner with Cundall where he is Global Head of Acoustics and chairs the Cundall Futures group. He has 29 years’ experience in Acoustics Consultancy and has worked on projects all over the world. Andrew was the Principal Technical Author of the FIS Guide to Office Acoustics and was one of the UK delegation responsible for ISO 22955 Acoustic quality of open office spaces. He is best known for providing design-led, sustainable, holistic solutions, particularly in the field of global corporate real estate and co-working.
