ANC Sports and Leisure WG - Launch of the ProPG guide

The Southern Branch invites you to a presentation on the new ProPG guide to noise assessment of Sports and Leisure noise, by members of the ANC working group.

The ANC formed a working group in 2021 to provide guidance on Sport and Leisure with input from the IOA and CIEH. This document was first presented at the 2026 ANC conference and is currently out for consultation and comments can be provided via a survey to be sent out by the ANC. The consultation document presents the Working Groups advice on approach to assessment of noise from external sport and leisure activities that are not otherwise covered by standard assessment documents, such as BS 4142 for example. The document also includes a set of standardised noise level measurements and discussion of likely noise sources for a variety of popular sports to assist in the future assessment of such activities where source data would otherwise be hard to come by. The talk will cover the aims, scope and approach of the ProPG.

As always, the event is free to members of the IoA, as well as to students and the public. CPD certification will be offered for attendance, wait for the QR code that will be shown/shared at the end of the presentation.

The event will be recorded but not the Q&A.
