The 2026 IOA Awards Lunch celebrated outstanding achievements, industry contributions, and valuable networking in York.
It was a fantastic event at the IOA Awards Lunch held on Tuesday 12 May 2026 at The Milner York. The afternoon brought together members, colleagues, and guests for an excellent opportunity to celebrate achievement, reconnect with peers, and enjoy valuable networking across the acoustics industry.
It was particularly wonderful to see past and future Presidents, Alistair Somerville and Paul Shields, together for the occasion. Thank you both for delivering the welcome address and presenting the awards.
Guests also enjoyed outstanding hospitality and excellent food provided by The Milner York.
This year also marked the first presentation of the Certificate for Best Overall Diploma Performance, awarded to Caroline McKinlay for her exceptional achievement.
This year’s awards took place in the same week as Noise Action Week, the UK's campaign to reduce noise pollution (running from 11 to 15 May).
