Led by Stephen Turner, President-Elect of the IOA

Having heard about the background to the Environmental Noise Guidelines and the information they provide, this will be your opportunity to discuss with other delegates how you might use the Guidelines.

Delegates will be divided into groups with the aim of considering such issues as:

  • How should the recommendations within the guidelines be used?

  • How are the guidelines being used?

  • Are there practical difficulties because the guidelines use the Lden indicator?

  • What is the interaction between these Guidelines and the previously published Community Noise Guidelines and the Night Noise Guidelines for Europe

This will also provide you with an opportunity to ask questions about the guidelines.

The session will conclude with feedback from the groups.
