Direct Acoustics invites you to a focused CPD session at Regent’s University London to understand sources, challenges & solutions in managing event noise for temporary structures.
The challenge of managing noise in temporary and semi-permanent structures remains a complex issue in event acoustics. With minimal inherent sound containment, these venues frequently lead to difficult licensing discussions, neighbour complaints, and jeopardised planning applications.
The afternoon includes a hands-on technical demonstration of:
Zone Array: Our precision-engineered directional speaker system, designed to project sound exactly where it’s needed while significantly minimising spill into surrounding areas.
Acoustic Linings: High-performance sound-proofing for temporary structures, reducing echo and reverberation to create acoustically stable, compliant spaces.
Host: Direct Acoustics (Sponsoring Organisation of the Institute of Acoustics)
Date: Wednesday, 6th May 2026
Time: 14:00 – 17:00 (Networking drinks to follow)
Venue: Regent’s University London
Lead Presenter: Adam Allfrey, Founder of Direct Acoustics (15+ years experience, 300+ venues across UK/EU)
This focused CPD session is designed specifically to equip Acoustic Consultants and Environmental Health Officers with the knowledge on sources of noise, why traditional solutions fall short and how we effectively manage sound in these challenging environments.
