About the Event:

Experience how the NVH team supports world‑class product development across engines, systems and components from concept through validation. As part of the visit, Institute of Acoustics members are invited to tour the semi‑anechoic chambers, where Caterpillar conducts sound level prediction, sound quality assessment and vibration troubleshooting. This visit offers an excellent opportunity to meet the engineers, explore the NVH facility, and strengthen connections across the acoustics community within Caterpillar’s standard visitor access and confidentiality guidelines.

Tour Safety

  • Visitors must always be accompanied by the host within the facility
  • All guests must always stick to a green walkway
  • It is important that visitors remain aware of the risk of forklift trucks approaching from behind, or around corners
  • No photography within the facility or on site
  • Safety shoes are not required on a tour as you remain on the green walkway
  • Heels of shoes to be no higher than one inch
  • Check for any guests with pacemakers
  • All tour guests are to wear the provided high-vis jackets
  • Safety glasses must always be worn within the facility (will be provided)

Visitor Policy

Caterpillar Corporate Export Controls and Compliance policy requires all Visitors to be Restricted Party Screened. To enable this, the completion of the application form information is mandatory. You will receive an email as soon as the screening is completed.

Records will be deleted after 12 months in accordance with record series D40 of the Caterpillar Master Record Retention Schedule.
