Now we’re looking for a talented individual to join us as a Project Manager and we are hoping our search ends with you.    

 

 

Overview of Opportunity 

 

This unique opportunity will appeal to a motivated, self-directed engineer with an acoustics background wishing to work with a high performing team to build upon their previous Acoustical experience in a dynamic and growing company.  Your primary goal will be to work within our engineering team, and with clients, in developing innovative solutions to a variety of acoustical, noise or vibration challenges. You will be involved in tasks such managing projects and directing junior staff, as well as directly involved in sound and vibration measurements, preparation of reports, preparation & review of models and calculations and other tasks.  Based on your previous experience you may also play a role in helping the company to achieve its strategic and business goals. 

 

This is a full-time, permanent position.  We’re normally based in our bright, modern Mississauga office but now we are hybrid and in Vancouver as well!  You’ll be trusted to manage your time to maximize your impact and to also make yourself available for meetings and other internal events as needed.   

 

 

Qualifications 

 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, an ability to learn and apply new theories, excellent teamwork skills and the ability to lead. You are also curious and eager to learn within a flexible work schedule, including occasional nights and weekends. As well, you are willing and able to travel as projects dictate.  While the majority of our project sites are in Ontario, there is potential for travel outside the province, and in some cases outside Canada.  

 

 “Must-Have” qualifications:  

 

  • A degree in Engineering from a recognised university; 
  • 5 years of work experience in an acoustical Engineering role demonstrating growth in responsibilities; 
  • Obtained or working towards your P.Eng designation; 
  • Smart, Personal and Versatile; 
  • Experience with Python and/or other relevant programming languages; 
  • A strong communicator; 
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent time management
  • Experience working in integrated, cross-disciplinary teams; 
  • Ability to remain focused and calm while concurrently managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines; and 
  • A driver’s license and clean driving abstract. 

 

“Nice to Have” qualifications: 

 

  • Direct experience in the Environmental or Architecture, Engineering Consulting Industry; 
  • Experience demonstrating leadership and management of junior engineers; 
  • Previous experience with the following: digital systems and signal analysis, multi-channel data acquisition systems such as LMS Test Lab, National Instruments Labview; or  
  • Experience with one or more of the following: sound level meters, noise and vibration monitoring equipment, analysers, speaker design.

Compensation
