THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL
In July 2015 the Airports Commission published its Final report that set out its recommendations to Government for expanding aviation capacity in the UK. This is a landmark report and the work presented has changed the landscape for assessing aviation noise in the UK. It includes issues such as noise envelopes, metrics, respite, monetization, noise levies, extensive compensation/ insulation schemes, night noise curfew, a UK independent aviation noise authority, and community engagement board. Whether you agree or disagree with the AC's recommendations, we should ask the question; how should the acoustics industry develop to reflect this important report? In this meeting we will review the key messages and consider their implications.
(The day will not focus on the case for either airport; Heathrow or Gatwick).
