BS4142:2014 makes recommendations for appropriate weather conditions for performing sound measurements. This workshop will investigate how and to what extent weather conditions can effect the propagation of sound. We will also examine weathers influence on the performance of measurement equipment. The day will (weather permitting) include a practical demonstration of the impact of wind speed and direction so delegates are encouraged to bring a sound level meter and suitable windshield. The ultimate goal of the day is to help reduce measurement uncertainty due to weather conditions.
