Dr Christin Kirchhübel (BA MSc PhD) is a full-time forensic consultant in speech analysis. She is the founder of Soundscape Voice Evidence, an independent consultancy. She has worked on over 550 cases in the areas of forensic speaker comparison, transcription and disputed utterance analysis as well as other miscellaneous cases. She regularly provides evidence as an expert witness in court. She obtained her PhD in Electronics (Forensic Speech Science) at the University of York which investigated the acoustic and temporal characteristics of deceptive speech. The talk will explain the work of a forensic speech scientist.

The event is organised by the Institute of Acoustics (IOA Midlands) and Audio Engineering Society (AES Midlands Group).

Magdelene Road Entrance: Magdelene Road from the Broadway is the best access to parking for the Performance Hub. Parking is on a first come, first served basis and is free of charge.

The venue is easily accessible by road, situated off the A4148, easily accessible from the M6 motorway (J9).

Free parking will be available at the Magdelene Road entrance to the campus and also at the Gorway Road entrance.

Regular trains into Walsall are available from Birmingham New Street. Walsall Campus is 2 miles from the station and the connecting bus service No. 51 stops at the Gorway Road entrance to the Campus.
