The Third Edition of the ANC Red Book (Measurement and Assessment of Groundborne Noise and Vibration) was published in March 2020 and is a major revision of the earlier editions.
Chapter 10 of the Third Edition, upon which this presentation is based, addresses transducers, mounting and positioning of transducers, recording instrumentation, proprietary equipment and calibration.
New information presented in this chapter includes consolidated and concise advice upon instrumentation requirements for specific applications such as BS 6472: 1, BS 7385:2, indirect evaluation of groundborne noise and sensitive machinery/operations. There’s also updated and detailed information on instrumentation standards and calibration.
