Following our presentation on the changes to the planning system, the Southern Branch of the IOA invites you to join us for a presentation on the guidance that the ANC’s Gym Acoustics Group is currently working on. We will be joined by Peter Rogers (Sustainable Acoustics), Anthony Robinson (Westminster City Council), James Stokes (RBA) and Martin McNulty (Hoare Lea). The talk will be followed by a Q&A.
“The Gym Acoustics Guidance being produced by a good practice working group comes at the moment that changes of use planning classes mean that locations for gyms in close proximity to residents in lightweight buildings is becoming more of a challenge. The guidance brings together the approaches of well-respected practitioners into a standardised methodology, and blends with a simplified prediction method to provide the current state of knowledge for assessment of gyms. Input from Local Authorities makes this a useful document that is being proposed as the next ProPG. It aims to provide a robust method aiming particularly to assess the viability of sites.”
The event is free to members of the IOA, as well as to students and the public. As numbers are limited, to register for this event, please go to the registration page at:
