About the talk:
In this talk, an extensive overview on the method and tools for the mitigation of the vibration and vibroacoustic design optimisation of structures will be presented.
Reduction of the structure borne noise in the low frequency range is a real challenge. Strategies for the noise and vibration reductions without adding any mass to the structures over a wide frequency range will be presented, which include novel bioinspired structures for the noise and vibration mitigation and the filtering of the mechanical waves in engineering applications. The enhancement of harvested energy by the implants with negative Poisson ratio will be demonstrated.
The talk will demonstrate how these novel and advanced methods can be applied to structures in automotive, aerospace and railway sectors.
