“The Art of Being an Acoustician” event covers two aspects of life of any acoustician. Firstly, how you got interested in the subject and your journey through all aspects of acoustics. Secondly, what challenging projects were undertaken and what went right and what went wrong (the bit that every other event misses). The nine presenters cover all journey points, from those that have retired, those leading the field and those early on in their careers. The event is designed to be open and friendly with many opportunities for attendees to network with peers and ask questions to the leading academics and industry experts.
