Following on from the success of our inaugural IOA Council Christmas Jumper Appeal in 2022 we are looking forward to seeing even more Members, Students and Staff getting involved this year.
The aim is to have a bit of festive fun, embrace the ‘kitsch knitwear’ vibe (to your own level of comfort) and raise some much-needed funds for our acoustics related nominated charity Hearing for Deaf People.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a charity which identifies and trains assistance dogs to support deaf people in overcoming some of the physical, emotional and structural challenges that hearing impairment brings. These amazingly talented animals help ward off loneliness, warn of danger and promote greater social inclusion. More are needed and we can help!
There are plenty of ways to participate on December 6th and thereafter:
• Don your favourite Christmas related attire (it needn’t be a jumper – pretty much anything goes a tie, scarf, pair of socks will all be appreciated for example) and send in a picture for our 2023 photo collage (to fiona.pizzeyioa.org.uk (fiona[dot]pizzey[at]ioa[dot]org[dot]uk)) if you are online
• Donate by following this link to our Just Giving page. Any amount will be gratefully received and please remember to tick the gift aid box if it applies. Your generosity will make a difference
• Donate in person if you are attending the Council Meeting in Milton Keynes
You’ll be able to see the Council group photo on the IOA Website from December 7th alongside some of your own photo submissions
