Entries are invited for the £50,000 MacRobert Award for UK engineering innovation up until Tuesday 31st January.
The MacRobert Award is the longest running award for UK engineering innovation. Since 1969 it has established a track record of spotting innovations that are both commercially successful and beneficial to society. Previous winners include many of the nation’s best-known companies, including EMI, Rolls-Royce, bp, Johnson Matthey, Arup, Buro Happold, Inmarsat and Raspberry Pi. Last year’s winner was Quanta Dialysis Technologies for its innovative approach to a portable dialysis machine, inspired by the design of a fast-food drinks dispenser.
The award is run by the Royal Academy of Engineering with support from the Worshipful Company of Engineers.
