A number of organisations, including the IOA, submitted evidence on noise to the inquiry, which is acknowledged in the report. The outcome of the inquiry acknowledges that noise is” a significant consequence of current airport activity”, affecting health and quality of life of people living around airports, and a number of conclusions on the report are made. In our evidence IOA supported the continued application of the Noise Policy Statement England as set out in the National Planning Policy Framework.
