In a consultation setting out a delivery plan for raising awareness, focusing primarily on air pollution, the Welsh Government are also acknowledge the health impacts of noise on the well-being of the people and wildlife in Wales. They refer to World Health Organization findings that 1 in 3 individuals is annoyed during the daytime, and 1 in 5 has disturbed sleep at night because of traffic noise. The draft action plan focuses on education measures around air quality - with one action around raising awareness of firework noise, and another on collating evidence on aspects of indoor environmental quality. The consultation is open until October 28th.
