INTER-NOISE 2021 Congress organization invites contributors to submit an abstract for the 50th International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering
INTER-NOISE 2021 Congress organization invites contributors to submit an abstract for the 50th International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering that will be held online and in Washington, DC, USA on 1-4 August 2021. INTER-NOISE 2021 (https://internoise2021.org/) will be a hybrid congress, with both “live, in person” and “virtual” programs. A broad array of topics will be offered in the technical sessions in accordance with the style of previous INTER·NOISE Congresses.
Here is a listing of the technical areas with many sessions to be added: Flow Induced Noise and Vibration; Vibro-acoustics and Structure-borne Noise; Simulation, General Modeling and Model Validation; Signal Processing, Measurements, Sound Reproduction, Diagnostics for Noise and Vibration Engineering; Aircraft Noise; Railroad Noise; Road Transportation Noise; Vehicle Noise and Vibration; Underwater and Maritime Acoustics; Industrial Noise; Acoustic Materials and Passive Noise Control Systems; Active Noise Control; Building Noise & Vibration and Architectural Acoustics; Environmental Noise; Soundscapes; Health Effects of Noise; Psychoacoustics, Sound Quality and Product Noise; and Pan-American Symposium. Numerous session titles can be found (in a dropdown box) when you submit the abstract and you will able to select first and second choices.
The Congress theme is “Next 50 Years of Noise Control” and the program will cover all aspects of noise control engineering, acoustics and vibration. Keynote speakers and interactive workshops (including a panel discussion on the effect of COVID-19 on noise control) should provide some thoughts on successes and continuing challenges, and some suggestions on how advances in technology, as well as health, societal and environmental issues will affect global noise control in the future.
The Congress is organized by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering of the USA (INCE-USA) and ProAcustica (Brazil), on behalf of the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE). Cooperative societies that support the 50th Congress include the Acoustical Society of America, SAE International, the Spanish Acoustic Society and the Korean Society for Noise and Vibration Engineering.
Please submit an abstract even if you will not be able to be in Washington in person next summer as we would have both "virtual" and "live, in person" technical sessions. The deadline for abstract submission is 15 February 2021.
