Work related hearing loss - regulation review

A review of reporting for workplace injury asks if work related hearing loss should be a reportable injury

Work related hearing loss - regulation review

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are now reviewing the RIDDOR (The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013) regulations. In a revised list of reportable occupational diseases, noise induced hearing loss is included for the first time. The consultation asks to what degree respondents agree or disagree with this (and other conditions) being included. If introduced, this is likely to have an impact on the level of demand for workplace noise reviews and hearing testing.

The consultation is open until June 30th
