The IOA runs four short courses during the spring and autumn at accredited training centres across the UK. A list of Centres is at https://www.ioa.org.uk/education-and-training. Usually, the courses are for five days with written examinations on the last day (dates are listed below). Potential candidates need to contact the accredited centre to confirm availability and the timing of the course. Please refer to the Accredited Centres 2021 list below.

Certificate of Competence in Building Acoustics Measurement
Examination dates: 30 April 2021 and 10 September 2021
Certificate of Competence in Workplace Noise Risk Assessment
Examination dates: 14 May 2021 and 1 October 2021
Certificate of Competence in Environmental Noise Measurement
Examination dates: 14 May 2021 and 8 October 2021
