Measuring noise from outdoor equipment - IOA evidence The IOA have submitted evidence to the UK Government on the proposal to update measurement of outdoor equipment noise in line with changes to EU regulation. IOA see the update as presenting challenges and opportunities for the UK acoustic engineering sector. Our response states that maintaining alignment with EU regulations is crucial for preserving market access and preventing migration of testing expertise. We state that there is, however, scope to enhance these requirements through adoption of additional measurement methods and standards. Read more
