    Flats next to music venue refused on noise grounds

     

    Plans to convert offices to flats next to a music venue have been rejected because of the possibly impact of noise complaints.  

    DTA Property Holdings, applied last year to convert Norwood House in Dyke Road, Brighton into six flats. The building is next door to a live music venue, Alphabet. A noise impact assessment stated “It may not be realistically viable for this development to be residential properties due to the mitigating measures required.”
