The Home Office are consulting on removal of licensing for firearms sound moderators. Sound moderators are an accessory that can be attached to a rifle barrel to reduce the sound and flash when the rifle is fired.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority have published proposals to enable drones to fly beyond the visual line of sight of remote pilots, as part of the UK Future Flight Programme. If adopted, the proposals would allow drones to fly in an atypical air environment.
