It is with the deepest sense of loss we report that Dr. Bob Peters passed away early on 22nd June. Bob was well known for his unbridled enthusiasm for and contributions to acoustics education. Bob was involved recently also as Chair of the IOA London Branch.

We are delighted that The Times published today (21 June 2019) a letter from our President-Elect about the challenges of tackling noise pollution.

The Department for Transport is seeking feedback on its green paper which outlines proposals for a new aviation strategy. The strategy will set out the challenges and opportunities for aviation to 2050 and beyond and will emphasise the significance of aviation to the UK economy and regional growth.
