Consultation on national land use launched The Government has today launched a consultation on a strategic national approach to land use in England. They say "Using the most sophisticated land use data ever published, the Land Use Framework will provide the principles, advanced data and tools to support decision-making by local government, landowners, businesses, farmers, and nature groups to make the most of our land. Government seeking views on Infrastructure planning reform The Government are seeking views on proposals for changes to the planning process for national infrastructure projects. These include solar and wind farms, electricity networks, roads and public transport and water supplies. Many of these developments are subject to noise impact assessments. All of these are "essential to delivering basic services, growing the economy, supporting the UK’s transition to clean power by 2030, and enabling 1.5 million homes to be built over this Parliament."
