New report: Green spaces and transport noise annoyance A new report assesses the health benefits of having quiet areas within areas with high levels of road traffic and railway noise. The study was undertaken across European cities including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, PAris and Brussels. The work quantified quantifying potential reductions in noise annoyance from road traffic and railway noise through increased exposure to green spaces exposure. Data used was from the latest Environmental Noise Directive (END) mapping of agglomerations with over 100,000 adult inhabitants. Read more
